Very bad purchase

This bed was recommended to us because my husband has sleep apnea. We were sleeping on a waveless waterbed matress which I hated. So I was open to a new bed even at the expense. I went and tried this bed at the store and told my husband it was very comfortable. Which it was. So we purchased it. Our first hint that it was a bad idea was when we received it and laid it all out to assemble. It was a collection of very basic material and foam pieces. Seemed very cheap to us. Although the assembly was easy, once we got it all together we stood there looking at it in shock. It was just a glorified air mattress. But we still wanted to give it a shot. It has been a year and we are so sorry we have this bed. We are in our early 30's, very active, and now we wake up with back pain, neck pain, and other pains we never had before. My husband gets less sleep than he did which has hurt his sleep apnea situation. We have tried everything, more firm, more soft. The idea of us both being able to adjust our side of the bed as we like it was great, until you realize that this is just an air mattress and when one person gets up you will fall into your bed as if your side deflates. And the seperation in the middle makes it impossible to sleep anywhere but your own side. I could just go on and on. I am sure this bed works for some, but it isnt' working for us. Today my back hurts so bad I am considering sleeping in my daughter's twin bed trundle tonight. 5 minutes of testing at the store definitely wasn't enough. We should have sent it back, but we wanted to give it a fair shot trying all the sleep numbers and combinations. Nothing works for us. Neither of us. I would give anything to have my waterbed back.
