Pros: More comfortable that most spring mattresses.
Cons: Terrible durability, needed to replace bladders and pump more than once. Trough effect.
The Bottom Line: On sale, the bed might seem like a bargain, but parts durability will cost you down the line. Consider something else.

We've owned this bed for a few months short of 2 years. In that time, we've had to replace the air pump, and one of the bladders. The pump came cross-wired. You'd inflate the left side, but the wired remote would read the "Sleep Number" (pressure) from the right. Then, less than a year later, my wife's side wouldn't hold air. Now on the second bladder, her side is losing air again. Additionally, the top edges of the bed are fraying, exposing the foam.
For a bed of this cost, I expected more in the durability department. I'm becoming a bit concerned that I'm reaching the 2 year mark, at which point the customer starts picking up part of the cost of part replacement. For a bladder that seems to only last my wife 1 year, that seems an unreasonable proposition.
As for comfort, I find the bed to be more comfortable than some, but personally would have preferred something like a Tempur-Pedic or similar device. Don't be fooled - this is simply an adjustable air mattress. Therefore, at certain numbers, you will be prone to a hammock effect.
I've also experienced the trough effect to some degree. My wife's sleep number is lower than mine, and when she leaves the bed for whatever reason, I'll find myself rolling into her side.
On the plus side, customer service for me has been reasonably good. Each time I've called in a complaint, they've been reasonably fast at resolving. Fortunately, each time, I've been able to accurately explain the problem which speeds up the process.
In the end, I can see myself replacing this bed before too long if reliability doesn't improve.
