I HAVE THE SOLUTION FOR ALL OF YOU THAT ARE UNHAPPY WITH THE QUEEN SLEEP NUMBER BED!!!! I bought one used (dual chamber) and hated it (my boyfriend has a king and we loved it so we thought the queen would be equally as good)......I don't need to reiterate everything that has been stated on this site, but basically I felt as though I was falling into a big pit in the middle. SO, my engineer boyfriend came up with a solution - replace that skinny little piece of useless foam between the two chambers with something that makes more sense - a larger piece of foam (about 2-3 inches thick) that is more dense!! I actually requested some free dense foam through Freecycle.com in my area and had several replies.......the piece I received can be purchased at JoAnn's fabric, they use it for making cushions. IT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!! We cut pieces to the height of the chambers and IT WORKED!!!!!!!!! We have had several conversations with people at the Sleep Number store and we were told by several different people that they haven't had any complaints like this, which we all know is bulls&*t........like most corporations they are more interested in $$$ than customer service....but I digress.....I hope this message helps some of you out there who are stuck with an expensive bed and back problems :-)
