Pros: Most comfortable bed I we have ever slept on.
Cons: None that make it regret purchasing.
Several Months ago my wife and I purchased the SC 3000 bed after trying them out in a mall showroom. The sales guy tried to sell me on the 5000 but the 3000 was about $1200 cheaper. The salesman ultimately told me that the difference was simply the foam between the air bladders and the mattress and the mattress top on the 5000 was a bit thicker. The only other difference was the motor on the 3000 was a little louder and the controls didn't show the number. We bought egg crate foam from Wal-mart and put that under the mattress and placed a feather bed on top of the mattress and viola, it is just as soft as the 5000.
As for the bed, I have NEVER slept better. My side is a little softer than my wife's and we both sleep like babies. We originally wasted $1200 on a traditional Serta Mattress and it absolutely sucked. I am still irritated for not going with the Select Comfort bed first. I HIGHLY recommend a Select Comfort bed as they are absolutely the best. I have not had to adjust the air bladder since the first night I set it so the better motor and digital number display are nice features, but not necessary.
