The Bottom Line: Forgive its downsides, and you will like this product.
As a late Christmas gift, my mother ordered me a wireless headset to use in areas requiring silence. It was a great device despite being a no-name product, but over the course of a couple months it wore out. First a speaker was about to quit, and then a few buttons failed to work on both the transmitter and the headphones itself.

Recently I got a new wireless headphone system called the Sentry H0900 (note the three 0's and no letter O. This is the real product name). So far I have been impressed by it, save for a few minor annoyances.
How It Works
Say you're sitting in bed and your partner is sleeping. You want to watch your favorite late-night TV shows but don't want to bother the other person. So you put on your wireless headphones, press the ON button, adjust the volume, and enjoy.
But before you do any of that, you have to hook it up. Included with the H0900 is a long cord with both a red and black connector on one end, while the other end is plugged into the transmitter.
If the product is to be used for the television, you will need to put the two connectors in their respective audio output jacks on the television itself, or the audio output jacks on the VCR. Then plug the other end of the cord into the transmitter.
If you want to listen to the radio, you need to plug the connectors into the included "mini-plug adapter". Then the adapter has to be plugged into the radio where you would normally plug in your conventional headphones. This remains true for iPods, CD players, your desktop/laptop computer, etc.
For hi-fi stereos you plug the mini-plug adapter into the "hi-fi stereo adapter". Then the hi-fi stereo adapter is plugged into the stereo as you would hi-fi headphones.
Once it's fully hooked up, you have to either put a 9V battery into the transmitter or use a separate universal AC adapter. If doing the latter, the transmitter has to be placed into a slightly larger base which accepts the AC adapter.
Lastly, the antenna needs to be raised from the transmitter and adjusted for best reception. Press the ON button on the transmitter, press the ON button on the headset (requires two AAA batteries), and that's it.
Sentry claims you can walk up to 100 feet away from the transmitter before the reception becomes weak. This obviously depends on how many walls are between you and the transmitter itself, so it will vary.
My Sirius Sportster 4 Satellite Radio is placed in my living room since that's the only place it can get a good signal. My bedroom is about 60 or 70 feet away, so when I want to go to bed and listen to Howard Stern, it's hard to do so. However, with the H0900, I can listen to the radio all the way to my bedroom and do so with little to no problems. If I tilt my head just right, though, the signal can seriously weaken. You can't have everything, but certainly I'm glad I don't have to force myself to sit in the living room for five hours as Mr. Stern rants about how much he has influenced radio.
The headphones are of high quality, much better than what I expected. The ear pads and most other surfaces are covered in soft, smooth leather-like material. I would have liked it if the plastic had a little more substance to it since they do feel cheap, but that is expected.
As for sound, I was surprised by the amount of bass. There's a lot of boom-boom-boom when I listen to my electronic music, but at high volumes the sound does get a bit "thin". I'm not complaining, though.
All-in-all the product works as advertised.
This product is by no means rugged. The transmitter feels really cheap, and it's really light, so I try to not move it if I don't need to. Currently it is attached to my satellite radio.
When I connected the transmitter to my television, I noticed the sound would only work on selected channels. Many channels acted fine, but other stations cut out so there was no sound at all. Fortunately I could play my Playstation 2 games with full sound. That's all I really cared about anyways.
The Sentry H0900 is a good device. It's far from perfect, but if you're willing to overcome a few things then I recommend you check this out. I like it because I can listen to the radio without bothering my mother, and I can play my video games without bothering my father. The headphones work very well, the signal is strong, and at $15 it's a steal.
