Pros: It's outrageously comfortable
Cons: The edge support seems to be too firm
I spent weeks shopping for the right mattress and spent plenty of time on-line reading reviews and educating myself about mattresses. Well, after visiting 90% of the mattress and furniture stores in my area, sometimes two or three times, I finally found the best mattress for me.
I visited a mattress store that sold Serta exclusively, but I didn't like any of the mattresses in the Serta "Perfect Sleeper" series. The "tops" (pillowtop, cushion top, etc.) just did not feel right or were two thin. They sold the Serta Perfect Night in a Euro Top variety, and a Cusion Top model, but they never felt right to me.
I finally went to a furniture called Haverty's that had the Serta Perfect Night in a Pillow Top design that the Serta store didn't carry. Well, by that time, I had lost my interest completely in any Serta product. But, I did decide to lay on a Perfect Night pilliow top model called the Hartford and I knew that this was exactly what I wanted. I didn't buy it right away, though. I visited the store a couple more time to make sure that it still felt good on subsequent weeks. This was to ensure that I didn't have any buyers remorse. After all, a mattress to me is a big dollar investment.
To make a long story short, I love it now that I've owned it for seven weeks!
The only thing that bothers me is that the edge support has very little give. I'm sure that this will extend the life of the mattress. Unfortunately, because of this, the pillow top will compress more in the center of the mattress and less towards the edge. I feel like it is making me want to roll and sleep towards the middle of the mattress. Perhaps this could have been solved by providing a bit more foam and quilting in the middle of the mattress.
