| mzemel's Full Review: Sesame Street - Baby's Purse |
My daughter loves her Sesame Street Baby's First Purse. She received this purse as a gift around her first birthday, and 8 months later it is still a favorite. She carries the purse around the house and pretends to be just like Mommy.
The purse is made of durable hard plastic, Etched into the plastic is a quilt-like design. The Sesame Street characters, Elmo & Zoe are featured on the front of the purse. With the purse you also get the following items:
1. Lipstick: Like all pieces from this set, the lipstick is made of hard molded plastic. The lipstick does not have any moving or removable parts. It is one solid piece of plastic; a gray case on the the bottom and hot pink lipstick on the top. Rebecca is so cut mimicking me in the morning when I put my lipstick on .
2. Change Purse: It is purple, with a picture of Zoe adorning the front of the change purse. This piece does have movable pieces. It opens on a hinge to show pictures of coins and dollars. Although they cannot be removed. The change purse also makes a rattling sound so it appears as if there really are coins inside.
3. Cell Phone: A purse wouldn't be complete without its own cell phone! My guess is that I use mine way too often, because Rebecca imitates me using the flip phone even when she is driving her toy car around the house. The phone does not have individual buttons, but instead one big red button which squeaks when pushed.
4. Comb: Again Elmo is featured on this heart shaped comb. It is cute but not functional. The individual teeth of the comb are molded together so you cannot really run the comb through your hair.
5. Keychain: This keychain has two keys; one yellow featuring Bert and one orange featuring Ernie ( More Sesame Street characters). Also on the keychain is a blue remote for "keyless entry" to your car. On one side of the blue "remote" is an on/of button which cannot really be pushed and on the other side is a small mirror.
It does take some maneuvering to get all these pieces to fit into the purse, but it does work. At 20 months Rebecca is just now able to open the purse on her own. What a cute toy for any little girl 1 - 3 years of age.
