| Trawma's Full Review: Sesame Street - Elmo's Talking Driver |
My son received this for Christmas--he's been all over his cousins' Talking Driver for months, so his Aunt and Uncle got him one of his very own. He plays with it every day--shifting the gears, honking the horn, and laughing maniacally when Cookie Monster shouts, "ME DRIVE CAR!" This little dashboard get-up plays a catchy tune when the music button is pushed, plus allows your little speed demon to honk the horn, turn the key (gives the sound of a starting car), flip on the turn signals (which actually flash red or green), shift the gears (makes a noise suspiciously like a blown shift), and push the "face" buttons (buttons that look like Sesame Street characters) to hear favorite pals like Ernie, Elmo, and Big Bird.
Elmo's Talking Driver is proving to be very durable. It's been dropped, climbed upon, thrown once or twice, and used as a resting place for a wayward "Gogurt." It wipes clean with ease, and the colorful design is just as bright as ever.
Sean's had this toy since Christmas, and the novelty has yet to wear off. He carries it around, pushing buttons, and all around terrorizing the dogs with it. It's not very loud, unlike some toys out there, so headaches and hearing loss for the whole family is not a danger. This is an all-around fun little toy, and I recommend it to anyone with a Jeff Gordon-to-be in the family. Not for parents who are bothered by oft-repeated sounds.
