Fast Crew makes me proud to be from New Zealand. The simple twisted rhymes that they use to describe the most basic New Zealand-Kiwi traits and habits are incredible, and the rhythm just bumps through my soul. I mean who says 'no more using blue-tack to make ends meet' or 'rap tighter than bikepants'?? They break all the rules. They ooze 'kiwiness'....the 'I dont care attitude,' sassy, full of bravado, but at the same time really hitting the hard issues on the head. Fast Crew have proved that you don't need to be all 'Yo-yo I sell drugs and got shot and now I walk with a limp, Yoyo Bloodz and Cryps, smash you homie',they make all the trihards seem ridiculous. 'I aint gotta prove sh*t, hip hop is in my veins', this line is so obviously true, the group bonds together so perfectly, no one stands out as a 'tag a long'. I just cant explain how this band makes me feel. Everytime I hear it, its like, this just embodies the whole spirit and soul of New Zealand, this is what our country is about, this is how we roll, and for anyone who hasnt been in NZ, you best believe this is how we rock. This is our autobiograohy. This is us. So if you wanna explore the Kiwi Culture, the real New Zealand, not just the pretty pictures of sheep grazing on hills, buy this album, and see what we are on about.
