We chose this model because we didn't want a unit over the stove, nor did we want a countertop model. This appliance has been GREAT thus far! The draw opens & closes smoothly/automatically; the defrost setting is easy to interpret and effective; it has a warming drawer feature; the drawer access enables you to check/stir food without having to remove it from the unit; and it has a popcorn timing feature that avoids burning/over-cooking. I feel that food heats both evenly, as well as quickly. The controls are easy to use and the LED screen prompts you through the multiple/various functions. The one drawback that I've encountered is that the interior height is limited. Two examples of this: when using a large glass casserole dish with a dome glass cover - the knob part of the cover would not "clear/fit" the top inside edge of the micro-drawer; also, if reheating a large cup of coffee (...purchased from a coffee shop), the sip-top lid has to be removed or it will catch the top of the micro-drawer and tip over while automatically closing. Interior height aside we love this product. One piece of buying advice: some of the Sharp models open/close the drawer by pushing a button, others by a "gentle pull" that triggers an automatic response, and still another that opens/closes by either buttons or manually. We choose the third option figuring that if one drawer operation method failed over time that the other may act as a suitable back-up. We purchased the Sharp KB6021MS; other models are KB6024,KB6025... After extensive reading about this product I have learned that the only real difference between model numbers is that some units are 24" wide, others 30" wide; also, the different model numbers may reflect how the drawer is operated; whether you chose the 24" or 30" model the interior capacity appeared unchanged - roughly 1 cubic foot. I used the Sharp-USA website for accurate detailed product specifications.
