tprender's Full Review: Sharp Aquos LC-37D43U 32 in. HDTV-Ready TV
I purchased this television for our bedroom to replace our old Toshiba CRT TV. First, let me start by saying that the form factor and weight is significantly less than anything of this size using CRT technology. I can move this television around by myself without worrying about possibly dropping it due to the bulkiness or weight. When we unpackaged the unit, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of packaging and that all materials you could need are included in the box. Simple things like batteries for the remote are often overlooked by manufacturers nowadays, but not Sharp!
Second, the quality of the picture is superb. I've watched DVDs, HDTV sporting events, and normal broadcast signal on this TV -- all of them are bright, crisp, and as clean as possible based on the signal type. The colors and brightness on the Sharp Aquos line are what really set them apart from many other panel makers.
Third, the inputs/outputs on the back fully meet our needs. We have an xbox, a dvd player, and a hdtv receiver (cable box) all hooked up with space to spare. I appreciate that Sharp included a full range of inputs, even on a smaller sized unit. The dual HDMI inputs are very valuable, especially if you want to run HD Games on the Playstation 3 units.
I've even hooked my PC up to the tv to use it in 1366x768 mode playing Battlefield 2. The quality was so good, even my girlfriend got into playing. You have to love that!
Overall, I have yet to find any annoyances or problems with this unit. As with everything, I'm sure there are units that have issues (lemons). However, my experience will definitely guide me to buy sharp again in the future!
