Not meant to be over the stove??

Pros: Sleek, nice features, large turn table

Cons: Not meant to be over a stove where the heat keep melting the parts.

The Bottom Line: Will not be purchasing another "Sharp" microwave like this.

This is what the Sharp repairman told me during the first repair on my microwave. He said that the heat from the stove melts parts inside of the system. He replaced the necessary parts (that only took 6 weeks to get) and it was never the same. It was now louder than before, and we could hear it running over the TV in the living room. We have now had the microwave for 9 months, and it has now gone down for the last time. It's the same issue as before, and it died on Thanksgiving Day. A part in the door melts (since we did decide to actually use our stove during these 9 months) and I will not be without a microwave again for another 6 weeks waiting for the parts to come in again. It's going back to the store that we bought it from. I hope to find another brand or model that doesn't have the same problems. We're definitely not happy about having to return it because it was a huge pain to install in the first place. But I am assuming that they all are. I trusted the "Sharp" name and it let me down.
