I stayed here in April with my 10 year old goddaughter. We reserved a one-bedroom suite.

When we arrived, there was a problem, and they put us in a studio suite-- which was fine-- the next night we moved to the bigger room.

Everything is slightly run-down, the carpets and paint jobs, etc, but in New York, I'd rather have a lot of space and a little shab than a slick room where I can't even put my suitcase down without standing on the bed. We definitely had the space.

We had prepaid and booked through a consolidator, so they could not refund us any cash for the night in the smaller room, but they did give us credit, which we used for room service breakfast. (Very fancy to the 10 year old.)

Overall, the location is great, but the service was a little poky. We sat around waiting for our luggage to get to the room, and then when we moved rooms, again they did not move our luggage in a particularly timely way, and one night (it was April, but 30 degrees out) we requested another blanket. (The sofabed had been made up with just a thin blanket and not the nice duvets the regular beds have) and we were told they had none! I complained a few more times, and about two hours later, they brought another blanket.

So-- it was a little funky, but I would still stay there again if I got a deal through a consolidator.
