Pros: Near attractions, extensive personal services, clean and well kept, helpful and courteous personnel.
Cons: Not inexpensive, no control over non-smoking rooms, relatively remote location without a car.
The Bottom Line: Close to being an all-inclusive resort.

| jonmat37's Full Review: Sheraton's Vistana Villages on International Drive |
December 2006. You can read all the gory details about the Villages in the other reviews/sales pitches. And they are mainly true if I could believe they tried all the services. It's a big place: at least ten 5-story buildings holding 30 apartments, spread out over many acres of roads, parking lots (free) walk-ways, ponds, preview buildings, and pools, yet strangely isolated from the hustle of Orlando. You can't walk to any near-by restaurants or other attractions, so a car is necessary. But the place is close to Disney, Universal and Sea World (ignore the traffic - but get to the parks early!) The rooms are large and quite nice - no bugs or dirt here. But you can't really be assured of a non-smoking room; they do treat it, but you can NEVER eliminate the smell - it's always there. They do have TV sets in most rooms, but they're not the best and check the remote batteries if they don't respond to your selection. The walls are not impervious to sound and you will hear your inconsiderate neighbor if they are not aware - try to get the fifth floor end unit to minimize your problems. They do have elevators and outside walkways and doorways to the rooms. You can minimize your Timeshare sales pressure by staying away from Guest Services and by Just Saying NO. The kitchenettes are well supplied (bring a water filter, dish towels/napkins, sponges). However, I was pleased with the Villages and would stay there if I visit the area again.
