Pros: Very convienient, quiet location in otherwise busy International Drive
Cons: Not for the budget traveller!!
The Bottom Line: This resort is amazing and the best I have yet to stay in, in Orlando. Perfect for kicking back and relaxing after dragging yourself all over Disney properties all day!!

| flygirl74's Full Review: Sheraton's Vistana Villages on International Drive |
I stayed at the Vistana Villages in October of 2000, it was still under construction at that point and we received a reduced rate through our travel agent. That being said, the hotel was beyond my expectations in almost every aspect.
First of all it's more like apartments than a hotel room, I recommend this resort for groups of people or families who want to save a little money on meals. Our "room" had a separate bedroom with jacuzzi bath, and tv. Off of that was a huge separate bathroom with shower. The main room was a living area with a second tv, vcr, and stereo, a dining table and minibar area complete with sink! Next to that was our full-service kitchen and pantry area with a washer and dryer!
Being a new facility, it was impeccably clean and hospitable, the only down-fall to it being newly opened was the in-experience of some of the front line staff, and the lack of activities for their guests, mind you they tried very hard and I'm sure by now they are all in top form!
The resort is a series of colorful buildings all situated around a beautiful man-made lagoon and the largest pool in Central Florida! There is a separate area for the kids as well as pool tables and hot tubs surrounding the gigantic pool area. There is also a little cafe and gym facility pool-side!
This "village" has so much to offer I don't know if I can recall all of it to write in this review, it would definetely be to your benefit to ask your travel agent! Keep in mind it is more on the upscale side of things but if you are looking for some place to relax in crazy, chaotic Central Orlando this is the answer. There are a variety of rooms and suites to choose from. It is located on what is for the meantime a quiet end of International Drive and is close to malls, SeaWorld, and all the other amenities this popular stretch boasts. Most importantly, it couldn't get much easier to get to Disney from there... at the exit, turn left, then right at the end of the street and straight on to Disney!!! No crazy highway negotiations, you'll thank me when you get there.
