The Curado 200B5 and the entire line of Curados may be the best baitcasting reel in it's price range. You could get away with a Quantum for less, but the Shimano is great buy. I use this reel for casting, flipping and pitching and the 5.1 gear ratio is perfect. I use a 6.3 spinning reel if I need high speed, but when you need to horse a big fish out of cover, the 5.1 is the way to go in my opinion.
I've experimented with cheaper baitcasting reels, but once I casted with Curado I was hooked (no pun intended) Shimano makes great equipment and it's pretty easy to get service. The $119 was hard to swallow at first, but I know I have a reel that will last me a lifetime with proper care.
