Pros:Great long lasting, great line capacity and can handle anything!
Cons:Not many, though for smaller fish, its power is a bit of an overkill
This real has been my main fishing reel for the last 7 years or so. It has a durability that surpasses most other reels, maybe except for the older reels - like the old Mitchams that never die! However its age hasn't wearied this reel, it still hauls in any sized fish, such as 6 feet 7 gilled sharks (caught early last year), to large 6kg snapper (caught earlier this year), and even the old skates and rays testing it out on occasion (largest lately being about 5 feet from wing to wing), just as good as it did when it was new. Its gear ratio is excellent, and you can really put it to a large fish. The lever drag system is excellent, and very easy to use. By pulling it right back, it free flows the line to allow the sinker to hit the bottom, and by pushing it forward, it sets the reel so you begin to wind again. Its good in any depth of water, from 15 meters, right up to depths of 120 meters plus!! Though I have tried it in any deeper waters, I'm certain that it would perform just as well as its does in the above depths. Its has a great line capacity, that even extends to the monofilliment line, though for best fishing, I would recommend using braided line, as not only can you fit twice as much on, you can use bigger breaking strain line and still fit more on, than you would with monofilliment. This reel is great for all fish, though its not enjoyable for smaller fishing, such as small flathead, tailor, baitfish. Its a bit of an overkill for small fish. Overall, a very good long lasting and durable reel.
