I bought a light blue pair the day that they made Oprah's Favorite Things list in 2003. They are indeed extremely comfortable and warm, especially when not wearing socks. I didn't find that my feet became too warm in them and yet I could easily wear them out on a cold, Pennsylvania day. They are not practical for foul weather but Ugg has other boots for that purpose; these are more for when you want to make a fashion statement but don't want your toes to freeze in the name of beauty.
I did find that they were not especially durable; mine wore through at the big toe area. I also found that the light blue showed soil way too easily. However, I liked them enough that I replaced my pair and have another pair in a different color on my Christmas wish list this year.
I found them to be slightly roomy; if you are a half size I would recommend going down to the smaller whole size. Also, I would not recommend paying a high price on eBay.
