I agree totally with the first reviewer, "The Best Anti-Biotic" about this product, Mesosilver.  I’ve done my homework, and for details like particle size and the fact that it is a true colloid and not ionic, this product beats all competitors I’ve tried. There are a lot of colloidal silver products on the market--so many it can easily become confusing which one is best, or even effective at all.  And because my wife gets sinus infections that a lot of antibiotics won’t dent, we have resorted to trying different colloidal silver products.

My wife (a Registered Nurse) gets severe headaches when she has sinus infections.  Most antibiotics don’t even begin to clear the infection.  But when I gave Mesosilver to my wife, it actually worked.  It cleared her sinus problems right away.  Some of the other colloidal silver products we tried topically (particularly the ionic silver ones) made her condition WORSE! But Mesosilver worked well, and it worked immediately. It is has become her preferred remedy for sinus infections.

Here’s something that really impressed me.  Colloidal silver is recorded in the medical literature as being effective even against viruses. One time, when I was getting symptoms of a cold, I tried a multi-pronged remedy to stop it.  I have read several cold remedy stories, but this one actually worked.  I was getting that familiar body ache, the tiredness, and the itchy nose, sneezing, cough, etc., all the normal symptoms of a common cold coming on.  I took immediate action and started my cold regimen.  First, I took lots of vitamin C.  Everyone knows that strategy.  But then, I added zinc lozenges and I put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide into my ear canals.  (Hydrogen peroxide has been documented for years as being effective at killing the rhinovirus where it first develops, in the ear canals, but has been not widely published-alcohol may also work in the same way)  I also began taking Mesosilver at the dose recommended by the manufacturer.  Well, I was amazed.  That regimen stopped that cold dead in its tracks!  After one day my symptoms disappeared!

Now for those people who have been scared away from colloidal silver by the bad stories about it, please remember that there are many different silver products out there.  And in addition to those multiple different products with different manufacturing techniques, there are lots of people out there making their own homemade batches.

I agree with the first reviewer, that it is better to obtain a laboratory-produced product than to make it at home.  The only home-produced colloidal silver product you can make is ionic silver, and not a true colloid.  There are plenty of sites you can find to tell you about the weaknesses of ionic silver, I don’t need to go into it here.  Not only are there plenty of people making bad or ineffective colloidal silver, but I imagine that there are plenty of drug companies that don’t want colloidal silver to become recognized as an effective alternative to antibiotics.  In the past, colloidal silver was used in many medicinal applications. But because of the FDA's classification, it can only be marketed as an oral diet supplement.

Yet, silver is virtually non-toxic. And unlike antibiotics, colloidal silver can be taken indefinitely without fear of microorganisms developing a tolerance to it. Microorganisms depend on specific enzymes to breathe. Minuscule colloidal silver ions disable these enzymes, cutting the air supply to the microorganisms with cytopathogenic results. Since the microorganisms are suffocated rather than poisoned, resistant strains fail to develop. Colloidal silver also has an unlimited shelf life.  It does not expire like antibiotics do.

The truth is, colloidal silver does not lose its effectiveness with continued use as happens with antibiotics.  As we are aware, traditional antibiotics continue to lose their ability to kill certain strains of bacteria. To date, nearly every disease causing organism known has become resistant to at least one antibiotic, and several are immune to more than one. Scientists have known since the dawn of antibiotic age that the more an antibiotic is used, the quicker it tends to become useless due to bacterial resistance.

On the other hand, most microbes, germs, and bacteria cannot develop resistance to silver as they can to antibiotics. This has been proven repeatedly in various studies conducted by many independent laboratories.  Science Digest published in an article titled "Our Mightiest Germ Fighter". This article by Jim Powell stated: "Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different disease organisms, but silver kills some 650." Resistant strains fail to develop.

One of the reasons people are afraid of colloidal silver is the occurrence of argyria, as mentioned by the first reviewer.  I’ve seen the “blue man” stories, but this condition seems to occur primarily when people make their own faulty batches at home and use impure processing techniques.  They also are reported to have taken super-huge doses of colloidal silver both internally and topically.  I have never heard of anyone acquiring argyria by using a laboratory-manufactured product like Mesosilver.  I think that once again, we are seeing the drug companies using scare tactics in order to get people to use antibiotics instead of colloidal silver.

I ran across a review of different colloidal silver products done by an independent research firm.  It had several silver colloid products listed, along with their “effectiveness” listed in the columns.  The definition of effectiveness was given by the phrase “Effectiveness of a colloid is determined by the particle surface area making it the single most important metric for comparing colloids.”  When I copied this table to my excel spreadsheet and did a sort on the column for “efficiency index” the Mesosilver product immediately stood out above all the rest.  Why?  NOT ONLY because the first column, “Particle Surface Area” showed Mesosilver to have the largest particle surface area per unit size; many colloidal silver producers try to get you to focus on that one factor.  But that is not the most important one.  Mesosilver also ranked the best for the $/cm2 column.  There is where you find the BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.

I want to confirm the results I got with the results that the first reviewer received with this product.  It works.  Not only does it work well, but it works better than any other colloidal silver product on the market that my family and I have tried.  And we’ve tried several.
