Pros: looks nice, is comfortable for a short period of time.
Cons: over priced, under guaranteed
The Bottom Line: Go back to basics. Traditional mattress with no pillow top and lots of strong coils will serve you best in the long run

| alark62's Full Review: Simmons Beautyrest Mattress |
I purchased a Simmons Beauty Rest Carmel deluxe queen mattress set in October 2006. The bed it self, when it arrived was great, my sleep improved and I thought that I would be happy for the next 10 years.
It is now April 2007 and there is already a body impression in the mattress, deep enough to roll into every night and cause back aches every day. I contacted Simmons who stated that I needed to run any questions through my dealer, their exact words, " Thanks for your message. Our current policy is if you are still in your dealers area, the dealer is still in business, and still sells Simmons products, they will assist you with a warranty claim. If any of the above conditions are not present, then call us at 877-399-9397 and we will be happy to assist you."
I've called the dealer and they read off a LIST of things that had to be wrong BEFORE the warranty claim could be explored. One of which was that body indents needed to be more then 1 & 1/2 inches deep. According to Simmons, in their own words, "Has an in-home inspection been done on your bed? If not, request this. If so, and the impression amounts are less than 1 1/2" then they are right per the terms and conditions of the limited warranty."
Now I can understand that over time you can and will get these impressions but more then in inch in 6 months and there are no alarm bells going off in anyone elses head but mine??? In good faith I measured the impressions according to the dealers and Simmons guide lines and the depression is only an inch deep so the dealer will not send someone out and neither will Simmons because I need to go thru the dealer. Can you say rock and hard place?
Long story short, Simmons and their "limited" warranties are not worth the paper they are written on and their beds are over priced, look nice but don't stand up to the test of time.
