| recharle's Full Review: Simmons Beautyrest Mattress |
We bought the Simmons with the euro plush pillowtop. The first month owning this mattress was heaven! Then I found out I was pregnant...
After that, I started tossing and turning and not sleeping as well. I also couldn't sleep on my stomach like normal because of my pregnancy.
My husband didn't say anything because he could sleep on a rock, in a hole, anywhere, and still wouldn't complain.
After my pregnancy I continued to sleep terrible and noticed that there are two "valleys" in the bed where we each sleep. The pillow top that is the new high density foam memory foam has only one memory. It stays compressed instead of coming back.
The impressions in the bed are only 1.25" deep and therefore they don't qualify for the warranty. If I had done a little more research and know about this, we wouldn't have wasted our time with filling out all of the paperwork.
I'm normally a stomach sleeper but this bed has such a hammock effect that every time I attempt to sleep on my stomach, I wake up the next morning with back pain! So I sleep on my side with an extra pillow to hug but now I'm starting to have back pain too because the sag in the middle of the bed is just too much. The first night we rotate the mattress, it's a lot better, but after that, the new side is just as depressed as before. Who wants to rotate their mattress every other day!
Don't buy just because it feels like a cloud laying on it for 15 minutes in the store!
