The Bottom Line: Again, it's firm but soft top (without it being a pillowtop). It is so comfortable!

When we were mattress shopping, my husband told every salesperson that he wanted "the hardest mattress in the store." It didn't matter to me. We looked at this one because he said it was firm (not the firmest) and it was the last one so it was reduced. I like it because it had a very soft top, but my husband liked it because it was still very firm. It was a perfect mattress that made us both happy. When it was delivered and I laid on it it felt like a dream. Then again, the mattress we had before was a taco. So anything felt better than that, but still, it was SO comfortable! It's not a pillowtop so all of our bedding fits the same as before. One other cool thing was it was very thick so the bed sits much higher off the ground than our old one.
