Pros: Sleeps like a rock, no motion felt by partner
Cons: Price, but what's a good night's sleep worth to you?
The Bottom Line: Best mattress we have ever owned. Cannot feel movement from partner. Get in bed, roll over, and you're out for the count.

After having several "premium brands" over the years, this is the best mattress we have ever owned. I am a physician and I compulsively research things (can't help it). You need to compare apples with apples when buying a mattress. Model names vary among different stores. Ours was the Rodeo Drive (in our Florida store). Maybe it is called South Beach in California stores.
Firmness - stay away from soft mattresses. They don't give you support and they don't last as long. This mattress comes in different coil gauges. We got the firmer 13 gauge (recommended), although you can get it with 13 gauge on one side and (I believe) 15 gauge softer on the other
Memory foam - stay away from pillow tops. Eventually they conform to your body and then it is like a sagging mattress. Also, more likely to hold odors, etc. The foam, which is like tempur-pedic, just makes the surface soft enough and also has some cushion on top. Otherwise, it is plain. As the sales rep said, why pay $1000 extra for fancy stitching when nobody is going to see that anyway?
Sleep hype - the claims made on Simmons' website were a bit hard to believe. But, I am telling you, you literally get in the bed, roll over once (maybe twice) and you're out for the rest of the night. You cannot feel your own body motion nor that of your partner. My wife gets up real early and I cannot tell when she gets out of the bed (our previous mattresses would always transmit the motion - I could count the number of bathroom trips made during the night)
Misc - we both had a bit of hip stiffness for a couple of weeks after switching from our sunken-in hammock-like old mattresses, but the sleep difference was amazing. The mattress is very thick and heavy but you don't flip it, you rotate it every 6 months or so. Get the scotch-guard if offered - Mattress Giant will credit the mattress if you return it (yes, it is basically an insurance policy) but it helps with stains, etc. We also put it on risers which lift the whole boxspring several inches off the floor (discourages the kids from climbing in at night) which makes getting out of bed very nice, just slide off, looks nice, too.
Summary - compare specs, not model names. Avoid soft mattresses and pillow tops. Go with 13 gauge firmness but get the memory foam top
