| krispykreme10's Full Review: Simmons Beautyrest World Class Mattresses With Mem... |
We bought a top of the line Simmons mattress and box spring in Canada. With tax it cost$3500.
After less than 6 months there are 2, full length, deep body depressions running down the mattress and a hill in the middle. I weigh 102lbs, my husband 185 and both sides are the same.
The mattress is so hard, I have pain in my shoulders and hips whenever I turn. I can't lie on my side and an old nerve pain has flared because of the hard surface.
We had to purchase a memory foam topper because I was averaging less than 4 hours of sleep per night.
The "mattress inspector" came and measured the impressions in the mattress. He said they fall within Simmons' tolerance of 1 1/2" and is not covered by warranty. The firmness is subjective and not covered by warranty.
I would advise anyone considering a "non flip" mattress to be aware there is no remedy for these body impressions the manufacturer deems tolerable, whereas flipping and rotating a double pillow top mattress works. I know, because I am now sleeping in our spare room on our 9 year old double pillow top mattress.
