Great review. I came to the exact same conclusions you did after beta-testing. It's too bad the game was just designed poorly.

your update... (Reply to this comment)

In your update, I see you've mentioned that the graphics are vivid and lifelike, and the sounds are realistic...but what you should try to do is give out examples of how they are in that sense. Say for instance, with the graphics being like life, you could describe if you could actually see muscle tones, lighting and shadowing, etc., on the character bodies (which are features that would make a game character look real).
And with the sounds being realistic...what kinds of sounds are there to hear? Is there any kind of music in the game to listen to, or are there audio effects like the tapping of footsteps across a floor, or cars driving around?

Since I am not a fan of past Sim experiences, having never played a Sims game before (and not everyone has), it's better for you to describe the visuals and sounds in the game for those readers who don't know about them. If you do decide to update your review though, be sure to contact me and I'll come back to have another look at your work.
