| bradshawcl's Full Review: Skechers Blizzards Spunky |
My oldest has gotten several pairs of boots this year, and we ordered Sketchers Blizzards in Spunky at the beginning of the summer on sale. I think I paid around $30 for them on Sketchers.com. These come in two colors, brown suede with pink flowers, and then a light pink with darker pink flowers and rhinestones in the centers. We have the light pink pair. The material to me is more like a suede, but listings say it's microfiber.
The insides of the boots have pink, fuzzy fur along with some glittery threading as well. These are pretty fuzzy boots on the inside, so obviously you need to wear socks to keep your feet from getting sweaty from all the fur. Also, I'd for sure suggest these for cooler days.
These boots aren't very fitted to the leg, so you can stuff your jeans inside these and they wouldn't be too tight. These boots come up to mid calf height. I would not suggest buying these in place of snow boots, because the tread on these is not nearly what it needs to be in order to move around in snow. These are more for fashion than function. The sole of these is very flat and there are no treads on it either, the upper part of the boot is rather flexible too.
These are pretty comfortable to wear, but like I said before, you have to make sure it's pretty cool out before wearing these because you will get awfully hot otherwise. They don't slip around and these look cute on.
My main concern with these is keeping them clean, because the suede/microfiber can get dirty so easily, and since it is a light pink it will show dirt so easy too. We haven't gotten these too dirty yet, but you probably won't be able to pass these on to someone else after wearing them, because of the dirt factor.
Overall, I would recommend, but don't use these as snow boots because the treading is sub par. Also, I would suggest the other color because this light pink won't survive dirt long.
