Introduction
I have been wearing Sketchers for many years and being tired of wearing Adidas and Nikes like most other people do at the gym I was looking for something that was a little different than the average gym shoe.
Story
I got these from a store in the mall which I do not recall the name of at the time. Anyways, I was looking for a pair of shoes that would be great for my everyday life of working out and going to college and they felt perfect and looked even better. I personally do not really care for the reflective trim but other than that still good looking.
Usefulness in Gym
I love these shoes on the treadmill because the grip is very dependable and firm. because you have room to pivot your ankles adequately, unlike some running shoes that are little more like basketball shoes and cause stiffer pivoting which could cause injury by improper landing when running full speed on a treadmill.
Plus I like the fact the grip is so steady and rugged I do not second think when I am doing heavy load under a squat machine.
Comfort
They are very comfortable because the insoles have a great deal of shock absorption;however, I found them to be a little lacking for arch support. I have added in a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles and have done the trick.
Style
These Sketchers shoes are a new classic in style that are rugged enough for running or working out in the gym or going out on a date or just running around town having a good time.
Durability
My personal experience is that Sketchers in general they tend to be very durable as far as the insoles and soles are considered. Normal wear and tear they should last two years or more. Unless you get the shoes wet a lot and do not use a water proofer.
They resist scuffs very well and are truly a jogger and work out and everyday life friendly shoe.
The Sketchers Like the K-Swiss Classic Luxury Casual Tennis Shoe Mens are durable enough to throw into the washer machine and wash them but would not recommend unless you know how to dry them properly because they may shrink or dry rot if improperly dried.
Ease of Clean Up
All it takes to clean them up is some Kiwi Gel Cleaner and a rag. Personally I do not have to use that very often at all because they stay pretty clean looking from using a water proofer and rubbing a damp rag over the dirty areas.
Recommend
I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a good pair of shoes that is good for working out in and great on a casual date.
