Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Magnetic closures, you can attach it to a stroller, the number of pockets
Cons:Very small, for quick trips only, can't close bag with all pockets filled
The Bottom Line: Good back for small or quick trips. Definitely check out in person. Recommended with reservations.
I like the magnetic closures, the fact that you can attach it to a stroller, the number of pockets, and the color/pattern--
Recommend this product?
The bag is simply NOT big enough (12.25" wide x 11.5" high x 4.25" deep) unless you travel quite light. I believe it's too small for anything more than a quick trip to town or the park where you only need a diaper, wipes, and a bottle. But once you start adding a toy, a book, a change of clothes, backup burp cloths, meds, baby blanket, etc... it starts getting too bulky. I should have believed the reviews when I read them on other sites...but I fell in love with the style and color/pattern!
The pockets are nice (all 11 of them, including a zippered one), but you can't fill them all, otherwise the inside space simply disappears.
The pockets are as follows:
1. Outside back of bag (full length of bag)
2. Bottle-size pockets on either end (2)
3. Under the bag flap with magnetic snap closures (2)
4. Full length zippered that is half the height of the bag and has a key ring claw attachment
5. Full length with elasticized top (holds the diaper changing pad)
6. Bottle-size pockets on either end (2)
7. Diaper/wipe size pockets (2)
The material is nice and heavy (poly canvas), but that poses a problem when the bag is full, and you have to try folding the top over to close it (it doesn't close nicely in my experience). And there was definitely NOT enough room for everything newborn-related (see my starter list above), and I ended up using another bag for the first few months.
The shoulder strap has a lot of pros: it is adjustable, you can remove it entirely, it has special loops ("shuttle clips") to attach it directly to stroller handlebars, it has a removable padding strip (velcro), and you can make it long enough to wear across the body messenger-bag style.
My recommendation would be if you are really interested in this bag, to check it out in person. And if you do buy it, as soon as you get home, stuff it with everything you think you might want/need to see if it will work for you.
