I am not on the "Slim Fast Diet", or any diet for that matter. I am a lazy riser in the morning and almost NEVER have time to sit down for a balanced breakfast. Who does?? In the past, I would skip breakfast and later find myself dragging around the office until lunch time. If I didn't skip the breakfast meal in its entirety, I usually ate some high fat and calorie, pastry or donut (out of the vending machine) providing me with absolutely no nutritional benefit. We were always told that breakfast was the most important part of the day and it still is!
After realizing (10 lbs later) that the vending machine in the break room wasn't the best choice for me, I started looking for another quick choice. I am a vegetarian, so I have additional concern about the amount of protein I'm getting in. Slim Fast shakes offered the best all-around quantities of vitamins and minerals.

That's all good, but does it fill you up?
A resounding, yes! It really does fill me up. There is enough fiber in this drink to give me a feeling of satisfaction. It should be noted that I use the Slim Fast shake as a breakfast substitute. I'm not entirely convinced that this would cut it for me for the other meals of the day.
Yeah, yeah, but how does it taste?
Ok, other than the can "shaking", any other semblance to a REAL shake is non-existent. It's really not too bad. I prefer the "Rich Chocolate Royal" flavor and do not venture out much to the other flavors. I have to say that there have been a few times when I've forgotten to shake the can before taking a big swig, and well, it was really bad. The key to enjoying this shake is to "serve cold" and "shake well". These elements are important enough to put in on the top of the can! So, remember: Serve VERY cold and shake VERY well.
I recommend Slim Fast shakes as a healthy and fairly tasty alternative to either skipping breakfast or eating unhealthy snack foods. Breakfast really IS the most important meal of the day. What are you eating?
