Pros: Some flavors are great tasting, quick and easy
Cons: Expensive, not as filling as they say
The Bottom Line: I feel that Slim Fast Shakes are a good way to get nutrition when you are too busy to stop and fix a meal.

I've written a review about the Slim Fast Snack Bars....and decided I would write about my morning breakfast drink, a Slim Fast Shake.
I have never been one to eat breakfast...it just doesn't happen, but I also realize that it is the most important meal of the day. I would skip eating in the morning and often at lunch time too, and eat way too much for dinner and during the evening. I've been working at changing this pattern a little bit, as I realize that my body goes into starvation mode thinking it will not be fed until the following evening.
I've tried a few of the Slim Fast flavors, and find that I like most of them, but I have my favorites too. The one that I most often pick up, in the six pack is the Soy based Orange, Strawberry, Banana. It is Lactose Free and 99% Fat Free, with only 10 of the 220 calories being from fat. It reminds me of the old Orange Julius drinks that I used to have as a teen...so the taste is great, and it brings back fond memories too! It has 24 vitamins and minerals to help me get my day off to a nutritious start. Other juice type flavors are Orange Pineapple and Apple Cranberry Raspberry. I've tried the Orange Pineapple and liked it, but I haven't tried the Apple Cranberry Raspberry yet...but it does sound like a great juice combination.
There are also 6 milk based Slim Fast Shakes. I have tried the Milk Chocolate and really like it to help fulfill my chocolate cravings. They also have Rich Chocolate Royale, Dark Chocolate Fudge, Cappuccino Delight, Strawberries & Cream and French Vanilla.
Although I don't believe that I could use these drinks to replace my breakfast and lunch everyday...I do feel that it is far better for me to drink Slim Fast Shakes rather than skipping a meal. I feel better during the day, getting some nutrition and I don't have to take the time to cook breakfast, or to pick up a fat filled breakfast sandwich.
