At least two to three times a week I begin my morning with either the Creamy Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Fudge Slim-Fast Shake. At this moment it is the Milk Chocolate.
I purchased two cans yesterday at Rite-Aid for $1.19 each and the can was nice and cold. I follow the directions and always shake the can numerous times. I pop the flip top and pour into the blue plastic cup I use only for these shakes. I have never used the nice red and white straw the commercials portray the actresses using. Send me the straws and I will try. Honestly I always pour into the cup. The can says serve very cold and can be enjoyed over ice. I have never tried that and do not intend to.
Just about ten minutes ago I received my email that I wanted to tell you about, what a coincidence. It arrives from Slim-Fast Online and can be subscribed to at www.slim-fast.com/. There is a message board for those wishing to post their favorite shake concoctions. There is information on the Make-Over book and a picture of Lauren Hutton. I am very happy with her being the spokesperson for the Slim-Fast products.
One of the recipes in this newsletter is for a Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Shake that can be made in five minutes. The Chocolate Royale Slim-Fast Shake, 6 ice cubes and 1/2 cup frozen strawberries. Mix them in a blender for 40 seconds and pour into a glass. There are more recipes listed in the section entitled Ready for Summer Slim-Fast Shake Recipes.
The Slim-Fast cans have a CRV, which means a Cash Return Value and will reward you with a few pennies when turned into a Recycle Center. The cans are very heavy and it is noted on them to exercise, drink plenty of water and enjoy three snacks a day which they suggest two fruits and one of their snack bars.
The commercial I like best is showing a policeman who is at the gym working out and has been drinking a shake a day for over ten years. Not sure if he is a real policeman or just plays one on commercials.
I use Slim-Fast because for years I have carried around a little pouch that has easily been mistaken for a pregnancy. Like I have been 2 months pregnant for all these years! It is summer time and I can no longer hide my stomach under a long t-shirt and leggings. Warmer weather means less clothing and more skin showing. For me, that means off to the store for more Slim-Fast. I have never tried the powder or the bars and I could be classified as a chocolate fanatic.
On the days I start with a shake, I have no urge to eat the half package or so of the Keebler EL Fudge cookies that I usually do. I can even wait till after four for some popcorn. I drink more water and less of the Pepsi when I have started the morning with a Slim-Fast. Having to get a child off to school in the morning, I feel this is the quickest way for me to get the nutrients I am missing and make the right start.
I have been drinking Slim-Fast shakes for many years and have never been on a diet. I have always been a slim person except for the pouch. I also have a tendency to not stand straight and since I turned 40 this year, I have paid close attention to my food intake and ways to keep and maintain my weight.
I will continue to drink the Slim-Fast shakes and I even use food stamps to purchase them. For the price they are better than a shake at any fast food chain and I hope to rid this pouch before the summer ends. I think Epinions is contributing to the pouch as well, since I tend to sit for longer periods of a time at the computer.
