I purchased this for my wife (Cynthia) I'm John Henry by the way.
When I saw this I KNEW I had to get this. As a Christmas (yes we still have CHRISTMAS) gift so many of these were purchased at one time the Remote part of the instillation took some time due to the fact so many people were hitting sling media's server at one time it wood not go through. But after some time ( when things slowed down a little) we did complete the install.
WOW! this is the neatest new toy to come around in a LONG time. I even watch TV over my computer while working. But now my wife won't be calling me from Alaska or Calf. ( we live in TEXAS) and asking what channel the "eyeball" is.
Sometime it takes a little time to come up to speed if your on a DSL connection but it does get up to speed in a couple of minutes. We're using the composite connection, we need to change to the SVHS that will improve the picture quality. Although even with the lower quality of a composite connection it's still REAL good.
All in all, as I said if you travel you really need to get this. BUT if you wait for a little time to pass I'm sure the price will go down. I don't regret paying what I paid. I saved around $50.00 making my purchase over the internet.
