Pros: No accessories to travel with, TV from home, no monthly charges, fantastic support, amazing product!
Cons: A little pricey at $200 +.. I can't think of any other cons..:)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this product whole heartedly. Especially for business travelers who are away from home for extended periods of time.

A friend of mine had told me about Slingbox months ago. I thought- well, sure, sounds good - I can't *imagine* it actually works.
Then a second friend contacted me and raved about it. I looked into the price and thought- it's kind of pricey if it doesn't work well.. but I decided to go to Best Buy to get it and give it a try.
I paid $220 for it. I got it home, and the set up is extremely simple. The "box" itself is about the size of a carton of cigarettes (i'm not a smoker- so I'm guessing LOL!), the directions are clear with diagrams, and though I did have to call support to aid me in my set up (I'm not the *most* technical person on the planet) - they were the most helpful and wonderful support I've come in contact with. Took as much time as I needed, and walked me through until it was working perfectly.
I am actually writing this review from my hotel on a business trip to Paris, where I'm currently watching HBO on demand. I don't know how I survived without this thing!
I love that I can watch my television at home in the USA in real time anywhere in the world that I have a high speed internet connection. The picture isn't exactly like watching digital, but it's quite good and I'm very impressed with it. The software allows you to set "Favorite Channels" - so you can just click on an icon and go to your favorite channel, and shows you a replica of your remote control that you use with your cable box at home. The audio quality is quite good as well - there are 2 choices... I am using the "S video" cable. I love that there are no recurring fees involved. Save the initial purchase? You won't spend more on this item unless you choose to change routers, or buy extra ethernet cable.
I am lucky that we have 2 cable boxes and that I was able to set the Slingbox up on the one in our bedroom that isn't used as often - or I'd be changing channels on my husband. God forbid a "game" is on, I'd be divorced!
I just can't say enough nice things about this product, and am praising it and spreading the "Slingbox gospel" every day to all my other business associates!
