wow, is the first word that comes to my mind when i hear "slingbox" this sling box is a very useful device. i was shocked when i read it was compatible with a dvd player or vcr. i mainly use it for directtv and have amazing results. the picture quality isnt as good as is expected but not bad. out side the network the quality decreases. its unbeliveble how they create a device where you can watch television with just the acess of internet and you can even change the channel. and on tivo you can record shows or watch recorded shows. i hope sling media can improve the picture quality and improve the downsides.
Its a revolution in technology. Now you can take your home tv, cable, directv, dvd player, vhs player, mostly anything you can connects to a tv where ever you go. As long as you have internet connection you have tv or etc. Now compatibale with Macs.
Imagine stuck in traffic missing the NBA finals , boom you whip out your smart phone and you have the game or any chanel at your fingertips. Now the new upgrade for the slingbox , you can use your slingbox on a smart phone, pda and a phone with simens technology. This list is widly expanding.
The new slingbox is clearer and now you can connect it to a HD tv for clearer results!!
It is pretty durable it can handle a drop but its not metal so thats the most it can handle. It isnt water proof but water spilled on myn and it worked fine im assuming becasue it was spilled on the interface.Dimensions: 10.6 in. W x 1.6 in. H x 4 in. D
