| bjazz44's Full Review: Slingo |
Although my handheld Slingo game does not resemble the one shown on this page I cannot resist giving my epinion. One week after first getting our computer, I was introduced to Slingo. It is such an addictive and simple game and being able to chat with co-players is great too! Once you become addicted (and you will) computer play just isn't enough - you need another Slingo fix. This handheld game will fit the bill.
On the plus side, it is almost step by step the "real" game, with gold coins, free spins, the devil. Major drawbacks are that the numbers are very hard to read and there is no cupid to save you from the dreaded devil! As far as interest level goes - I was hooked until it got lost (later recovered from behind the couch) - Oh the withdrawals! Not being able to play while someone else was on-line, riding the bus, was torturous!
Price-wise, I believe the cost has come down from it's original $20 and is now more worth it than ever. Also, keep in mind that you can always achieve "high score" by removing the batteries & reinstalling them!
