Pros: Good onion rings
Cons: Can't cook a hamburger to order, steal money from you.
The Bottom Line: Avoid the Wellington location.

| skygrrl's Full Review: Smokey Bones |
I went to the Smokey Bones Restaurant in Wellington, Florida on October 15th, 2005. A friend told me that they had buffalo burgers, and I had had a wonderful buffalo burger in Colorado so I was excited to try one close to home.
We were seated quickly, and the booth was huge for a party of two. We waited aproximately ten minutes to place a drink order, by which time we were ready to place our food order. The waitress would only take our drink orders (Dr. Pepper and Iced Tea) but said she would come back to take our food order, even though we were ready and had been waiting. Fifteen minutes later we received out beverages, and could finally place our food orders. Our food came ten minutes later (so we could have been eating before we even received our drinks). I had ordered my buffalo burger medium rare, but my burger came well done. Also, for a ten dollar hamburger, I got ONE measly pickle piece. When our waitress finally came back another ten minutes later, I could ask for some mustard, and I told her that I wasn't very happy with the pickle situation, and that I would like to speak to a manager. She brought me back ONE more pickle slice, and said the manager was in a meeting. So, frustrated, we finished our meals (my husband was happy with his turkey sandwich, and we both enjoyed the onion rings) and paid, leaving a ten percent tip for poor service. Well, we just checked out bank account, and the waitress turned the 1 int 31.80 total into a 6. So she went above and beyond to rip five dollars from us.
I will be quite delighted in making sure that many people know how terrible the Wellington Smokey Bones Restaurant is.
