| lindsaynurse's Full Review: Smooth 5.0P Treadmill |
I did extensive research on treadmills to find one that suited me. I knew I wasn't going to be a heavy treadmill user, so the ones that were over $3000 didn't interest me, and I didn't want one that would break down in a year so I was determined to stay around $1000 and came across the Smooth 5.0p. The reviews I had read both on epinions.com and other sites were mostly positive. Living in a small home, the fold-up feature was a nice plus.
Currently I use my treadmill for a moderate/fast walking pace at 3.6-4.2mph with some added running stretches and sprints. Hopefully I'll be able to build up to running the whole time. I like that I can move my treadmill around easily to watch tv, listen to music, or look out the window. I have to pause the treadmill, however, to check my pulse to make sure I'm not over or under exerting myself. Either that or I'll have to buy a heart monitor. The higher level Smooth treadmills have heart monitors on them, but the 5.0p doesn't come with them.
The treadmill arrived within a week and required that I only fold it down and plug it in. - VERY EASY! I know there are some treadmills that come with instructions that only engineers could follow.
There's a 10 year motor warranty, a cup holder, a place to put the remote, or magazine. Very simple
