| which_report's Full Review: Smooth 7.1 Power Folding Treadmill |
I purchased my Smooth 7.1HR treadmill 6 months ago. At the time, I thought that I might be paying a little too much for it. But, after having used this 'mill, daily since then I have come to realize that the 7.1 is worth every dollar I paid for it. I've used plenty of treadmills during my life. Most of them have rather loud motors and belts...In fact, the humming sounds from these treadmills will either lull you into a hypnotic state or drive you up the wall. The Smooth 7.1HR, however, runs so quietly and smoothly (just as its name implies), that I sometimes forget it even has a motor. I am not distracted by any noises coming from my treadmill. I can read or meditate or watch tv or whatever I wish during my workouts without having my attention drawn to some obnoxious noisy motor. Aside from the peaceful workouts I get on my 7.1 treadmill, I also appreciate its heart rate control. I keep mine preset and use it during all my workouts, so that I will get a good workout based on my heart rate. I have a fairly large home and keep my treadmill in a workout room. It's rare that I have a need to fold up my treadmill. However, it's a great feature to have should I ever need to move my treadmill out of the way to do some cleaning or whatever. This particular treadmill is pretty sturdy. I'm not a huge man. And, I use my treadmill mostly for jogging, and it seems to be holding up alright. I think it could probably withstand a heavier person running on it regularly, too. There are some really nice programs on this treadmill, and its console is nice and easy to read and operate. I found a dealer offering a very competitive price on the 7.1HR by using the treadmill price search facility at www.treadmilladviser.com. All in all I consider the Smooth 7.1HR to be a high-quality treadmill.
