| naturalone2's Full Review: Smooth 9.1 Series Treadmill |
I’m in love! With my Smooth 9.1 treadmill! I wanted my very own treadmill for a long time. But most of them either cost too much or were just junk! After lots of looking around, a friend introduced me to the Smooth treadmills. She had bought a different model and really liked it! I decided to try the 9.1 after I found out about all its great features.
I’ve worked out on treadmills at my gym for several years. So I know a little bit about them! I know that some seem a little bit rougher than other treadmills and make a lot of noise! And I know that I really like the way my Smooth 9.1 seems to be made good and it runs smooth and is quite.
Although I didn’t have a clue about all the technical stuff about treadmills I learned a lot about the 9.1 on the Smooth web site. What sold me on the 9.1 is that it was cheaper than similar models and it has a motor that runs cooler, is more powerful, and lasts longer, with a 10-year warranty. Its frame is all steel and has a life-time warranty. According to the salesperson the deck is made to last forever, we’ll have to see. It also is heavier then comparable treadmills (250 lbs.), which contributes to the stability.
It comes with a variety of programs and levels and bright red LED’s that are easy to read and that can be blanked out by using the Panel Dim feature. The factory-preset programs (there are four of them) can be changed while your exercising on the treadmill. And the 9.1 lets you make 4 of your own programs with 10 segments each! Each program has 5 effort levels! There is a pause/resume feature. And the running surface is a comfortable size!
I did find the manual confusing and needed to contact customer service for clarification. Also delivery is to the curb, so either you pay extra to move in-doors or have a hefty friend available.
Overall I am glad I bought one! It has given me hours of use without any problems. Its smooth and quite and sturdy! I would tell anyone who wants a treadmill to try the 9.1!
