Having tried numerous treadmills at hotels and health clubs I decided to purchase one for the home. I am a runner, and prefer running outside, but enjoy a treadmill for those bad weather days.
I purchased the 9.2 after doing a considerable amount of research. I was concerned about buying online, but found the 9.2 to a bargain at the price. I also figured that if I had any problems with the treadmill I would have 30 days to return or one year to have serviced in my home. I did have a couple of questions and was able to get an immediate response. What a novel idea.
So far the 9.2 has more then met my expectations. The electronic options are more then adequate for my needs. In particular the treadmill has toggle switches on the side rails allowing adjustments to speed and incline. I usually find it awkward to make adjustments on the console when I am running. You find yourself off balance. With the switch on the handrails you have the stability of holding on while making the adjustments to speed and incline.
There are also one-touch buttons located on the console. Rather then holding down the switch to a desired level you can click on an exact speed or incline.
There are 4 pre-set programs and the ability to create 8 custom programs. The display also indicates time, interval time, speed, distance, calories, incline, pulse, and program. Standard stuff. I also like the 1/4 mile LED display. I enjoy watching my progress. I will say that I find the giant cougar overlay on the console a bit garish.
It is a very quiet machine that has a stable running feel to it. When running outside I prefer off road running in comparison to running on asphalt. The belt and deck have a reasonable cushioned feel without being to soft.
The treadmill won't replace running on a nice sunny day, but for those increment weather days it does the job.
