I hate to exercise! Thats the honest truth! But, the older I get, the harder it is to keep those pounds off! And, I dont want to get so fat that my girlfriend tells me to get lost! So, about a month ago, I made up my mind to do something about it! I thought, and I thought about dieting (which Im not so good at), and about exercising (which I truly hate). I knew that Id have to find some form of exercise that wouldnt be too strenuous, but would still whip me into shape! I did a little research and discovered that simple walking would burn plenty of calories and fat, if I did it on a regular basis. The problem, though, was finding time to do enough walking to get the results I was hoping for! I work long hours and am too exhausted after work to feel motivated about anything more than dropping into my easy chair and flipping through the channels on tv! Finally, I decided to take a chance and buy a treadmill to keep in my office, hoping that Id take the initiative to use it off and on throughout the day (deep down inside, I really figured it would turn into something to merely hang my jacket on). Speculating that one treadmill is pretty much like any other treadmill, I basically just bought the first affordable treadmill I found on the Internet (I hate shopping in retail stores!).
The treadmill I purchased is the Smooth 9.2 Series Treadmill! And, amazingly, I like it! I actually use it and enjoy doing so! So, I thought Id share my story and write about the nice features of the 9.2!
The Smooth 9.2 Treadmill comes with a 3.0 HP Continuous Duty Motor, which has a 10-year warranty! From what I understand, thats pretty powerful for a treadmill motor! And, because its continuous duty, this motor provides constant power to the treadmills drive belt! Thanks to Pulse Width Modulation circuit boards, the 9.2 allows for low amp draw, even with heavy users, and it runs practically without any electrical hum, at all! The walking surface of this treadmill is a comfortable size: 20 x 56. The user can set the incline of the treadmill at up to 15% elevation! Its easy to set or reset the speed and incline on the 9.2 treadmill, because the controls are on the handrails, and the direct speed bar allows for one-touch control. There are 4 pre-set programs, 8 custom programs, and 2 user programs on the 9.2! The Smooth 9.2 offers an optional Heart Rate Control with a one-touch EKG readout! (I opted to not get this feature on my treadmill, but I hear its a nice feature to have, especially, if youre a runner
which Im not! At least, not yet! But, maybe in the future!) The LED display on the 9.2 is large and easy to read. It displays a ¼ mile track with a lap counter. The user can go from speeds of 0.6 mph up to 10 mph on this treadmill! The frame is a sturdy, welded steel frame, capable of holding a 400-lb. user. This frame comes with a lifetime warranty! The belt, deck, and rollers have a 5-year warranty. The electronics are covered by a 3-year warranty. And, the Smooth 9.2 has a one-year in-home labor warranty.
Another thing Id like to mention about my purchase of the Smooth 9.2 is that the people in Smooths customer service department were very friendly and eager to answer any of my questions. Placing my order was Smooth-sailing! Delivery of my treadmill was right on time. I paid a little more to have the treadmill carried into my office and setup for me. But, if you dont want to pay the extra money, you can always bribe your friends to help you move yours from the truck into your home, office, or wherever, as well as help you set it up!
Finally, Id just like to say that, if you are in the market for a good, quality treadmill, you should really check out the Smooth 9.2 Series! I highly recommend it!
