Pros: Good features
Cons: Reliability is an issue.
The Bottom Line: It broke down the first day I got it. I can't recommend it. I hope Smooth fixes it and I have many trouble free miles from here on out.

I just bought a Smooth 9.2 on May 2nd. This is my second treadmill. Previously, I had an Image 10.4. It lasted seven years. Although the last six months it was getting pretty bad. So I decided to buy a new one. I looked online and Smooth kept coming up. I have heard of Smooth, but had never used their product. The 9.2 was $400 off & I like what I had read so I took the plunge. Well, it arrived on 5/9. I paid extra to have it brought in and setup. At first I was quite impressed with how sturdy the machine felt. Then after running two miles, it started making an awful "clanging" sound. I couldn't believe it. I am trying to get in shape for my next marathon in October and this happens. I have tried to get in contact with Smooth, but I have only gotten voice mails. So I went online and filled out their online form. I know that this is a warranty issue, but I don't feel too confident about the long term on the unit. It is frustrating to spend $1800 on a machine and have it breakdown after 15 minutes. From the stellar reviews I have read, I must be in the minority. I'm hoping this is the last problem I have & not the first of many.......... I will have to wait six months to see if I would recommend it to anyone. I plan on doing a follow up review in 6 months. I am hoping to have a better review.
