| pwe7's Full Review: Snapset Pool 8-Foot Rainbow |
With summer going to be here in a few month I thought I would write about a pool that for us didn't last past last summer. Though I don't believe that that had anything to do with the product itself, but because of our two dogs. Or maybe I should say two fish. We didn't realize that our dogs liked water until we bought this pool. Last summer was a bit hotter then usual and our dogs practically lived in this pool.
Set-Up Instructions:
Taken From Package.
1. Select a level, clean and sunny location. Remove any sharp objects from under the pool area.
2. Unroll the pool and spread out by carefully pulling the sidewall out from the center.
3. Fill the pool with approximately 1/2" of water to make the pool round. Smooth out any wrinkles on the floor as much as possible. This process is easier when 2 or 3 people help you. Fill the pool to the desired water level. The sidewalls will stand up as the pool is filled.
4. When you need to skim the pool or drain it, simply push in gradually on the sidewall.
Caution:
Taken from package.
Use only under competent supervision. For ages 3+.
Availability & Price:
I found this one at my local Walmart for $14.99. I seen either the same pool or similar brands at other stores for about the same price.
What Did I Like About It?
It's fairly cheap. If you have two people it's really easy to set up. A little more difficult if your trying to do it by yourself. Children love it. My son isn't a big fan of bathes but anytime we mentioned going in this little pool, he would stop whatever he was doing and go put on his swimming trunks.
What Did I Dislike About It?
It's soft bottom is easily torn. Especially by dogs that think they need to play in the pool too. It's also hard to clean because of it's collapsible walls. Even just with my son running around the yard and then jumping in this pool, a bit of dirt would collect at the bottom of the pool. I found it fairly difficult to spray all the dirt out once the walls were collapsed. It seemed that no matter how much dirt I sprayed out some always managed to hide under the collapsed wall.
This & That:
Taken from package:
* 8 ft. x 18 in.
* For ages 3 & up
* Ready to fill - no assembly required
* Unroll & flip open - read instructions first
* Rigid heavy - duty PVC embossed sidewall attached to vinyl bottom
* Water capacity (100% of wall height):565 gallons/2,138 L.
Conclusion:
Well even though this pool didn't work out very well for us, I would recommend it to other people that don't have dogs and are looking for an alternative to the hard plastic pools. If you have dogs that like water like ours, you may want to get a hard bottom pool like we will probably do this coming summer.
Well I hope this review helps! Have a great day!
