Pros:an light-weight, easy to clean, all-season "excess-liquids" solution
Cons:only a gorilla has wrists big enough for that wrist strap!
The Bottom Line: For those times when a Snot Spot is too bulky: the Bike Spot saves the day (or at least the cycling gloves)!
If you spend much time outside in the cold then you're familiar with those runny noses that, depending on where you live, may create "yellow icicles" if ignored. One can, to be sure, wipe the stuff on a sleeve (according to legend, the reason Napoleon decreed his army's uniforms would have buttons on the sleeves), but there's a better way: the Snot Spot. "When I Grow Up" - the little company that cares about your cleaning bills - neatly packages triangular swatches of black microfleece that slip over a glove, with easy removal for laundering.

Cyclists, however, find the original version bulky and, because of a seam on the underside of the "finger loop," uncomfortable. With that demographic in mind, the company tweaked their design to create the Bike Spot. Like the original Snot Spot the Bike Spot has loops to fit around a finger and the wrist, and provides a soft surface for that quick swipe across an upper lip. The fleece is almost self-cleaning - after a few minutes, there's almost no sign you've used it. If it gets too icky for you, wash it by hand in the sink - it dries in a couple of hours - or toss it in the washer. Unlike the original, the Bike Spot has a slender loop on the finger that's attached at the sides (where it doesn't provide a pressure point while riding) and a hook-and-loop strap at the wrist. It's also much sleeker overall.
A Bike Spot can be worn on either hand, over half- or full-finger gloves. Just slip the loop around an index finger and tighten the Velcro® wrist strap. The finger loop rides comfortably at the first knuckle, and is much thinner than cycling glove fabric. Whenever things get too moist, just a quick swipe takes care of the problem. On hot summer days, the microfleece provides a large wipe zone for perspiration - considerably larger than what's on cycling gloves, and lots easier to clean.
