Pros: Comfort- great tv watching companion.
Cons: Not great fit- one size fits all does not mean great fit.
When i received my royal blue snuggie this Christmas i chuckled. Not only did my friend send me an awkward and funny gift, they managed to personalize the gift to me (my first name is royal hence the royal blue). I also have friends who have the "collegiate" style of the snuggie, which cannot compare to this blue blanket/rag with sleeves.
Material- This "blanket" is essentially the cheapest fleece material, with sleeves in it. This however is not a bad thing, because you wouldn't want to turn your body into a thermos would you? Basically if your good at sewing at all you could pick up some fleece from wal-mart, and make one yourself.
Sizing- When they say one size fits all, i believe they are right. I think Jaba the Hut could wrap this snuggie blanket around himself.
Style- Snuggies are about as fashionable as leprosy was during the time of Christ. Basically 0 on the fashion chart
Comfort- This is why everyone buys a snuggie! (or to embarrass their friends. It is comfortable to wear on the couch. But walking around and doing things with this blanket is annoying. Here are some things that make it uncomfortable
1.) sleeves are long and cumbersome (they get in the way and seem to ubsorb any liquid like a rag leaving the smell of milk on it all day.)
2.) unless you tie it behind you around the neck, your snuggie will fall off. (its kind of like an apron with sleeves with no tie behind you
3.) tripping- because of the "one size fits all" short people have an exes amount of blanket trailing out in front, or behind them. This means your twice as likely 2 step and trip on it, or have someone else step on it and trip you up.
Price- My friend said he got it for 17 $ before he gave it to me. You should easily find it for around that price range, or find a knock off, for an even lower price.
Durability- This material may be cheap, but despite all drawbacks, this material does not stretch easily, or tear.
Other uses- A snuggie can be used as just another blanket, or be wrapped around yourself as a toga. (this is done very easily and the sleeves tie together easily so you don't have to use pins. It can also in emergencies be used as a towel. (to sheild ones nudity, or dry yourself).
