There are 32 recipes included in this small book with 79 pages, the photograph of each dessert are excellent. They make a mouth-watering appeal to want to try each recipe they all look delicious. I have tried many of the cheesecake recipes, as they are my favorite. I have been using Suzanne Somers Truffles recipe in her book “Eat, Cheat and Melt the Fat Away” for many of my Christmas treats. They are so easy to prepare and so good, her recipe for Chocolate Kisses is made the same but with a different flavor of peppermint instead of Rum Extract. I love to experiment with new recipes so this book will help me try new things for desserts. In this book SOMERSIZE DESSERTS Suzanne gives you alternate suggestions for making these recipes with regular sugar or with Saccharin. Before Suzanne’s SomerSweet was available I used Splenda, which is available in most grocery stores. Suzanne’s SomerSweet will be available in most grocery stores, or you can check her Web site suzannesomers.com to place an order.
I have been on this Somersizing diet after reading Suzanne’s books. It is not a diet of counting calories but a way of putting the right foods together. It gave me a whole new outlook on preparing meals and the plan really works. I kept experimenting with my own recipes to make the meals enjoyable. Since I also have a sweet tooth and love to have a small dessert with tea in the evenings. I enjoyed her Truffles recipe so much that I created my own Truffles Cheesecake Supreme recipe. This summer when I check on suzannesomers.com and saw she was having a recipe contest and entered my recipe. Late in October I received a phone call from them that my recipe was in the running for this contest. They were to notify me in November but I have not heard from them, so I guess I am out of the running. It was nice that they thought enough about the recipe to give me a call.

Suzanne has previously written ten books, her last three where her diet books, including; Suzanne Somers’ Eat Great, Lose Weight, Suzanne Somers’ Get Skinny on Fabulous Foots and Suzanne Somers’ Eat, Cheat and Melt the Fat Away. These books are available on her Web site or on Amazon.com where I ordered my book of SOMERSIZE DESSERTS listed for $14.95 but I paid $11.96. Suzanne has a crew of people working for her that help her put these books together. She includes the group in the beginning of this book. She talks about each one and how helpful they are to put out these top grade books. These are books you can go back to often and also make great gifts. Crown Publishers, New York published this book this year 2001. Jeff Katz took the photographs of each dessert and I really admire great photography and these are good.
Suzanne really has promoted herself well since her days on the hit television shows Three’s Company and Step by Step. She also sells cosmetics, skin care products, clothing, jewelry, fitness products and a dessert line on her Web site. She also can be seen from time to time on the Shopping Network. She believes in quality and stresses this in this book SOMERSIZE DESSERTS that when you want something special use the best products you can buy and you won’t be sorry. THERE ARE PLENTY OF RULES FOR SUCCESS BUT NONE WILL WORK UNLESS YOU DO!!
