The Bottom Line: A great way to save on dental bills and have a whiter and brighter smile for around $50 at a local store, or less online.
Go Sonicare for a Happier Smile with the Essence Power Toothbrush
A Toothbrush Dentist Love to Hate It
Remember back when you were a kid and you equated a horror film to a visit to the local dentist? Then after the noises, drilling, and painful experiences you received a brightly flavored candy? Now as adults, you wonder if that is the dentist’s way of ensuring repeat visits and a successful practice. Cavities, gingivitis, plaque, root canals and more are never fun and for just under $50 you can fight back against the unnecessary pain, and no, I am not referring to flossing (although that is needed as well).
I have friendly teeth, social teeth, Facebook like teeth as they congregate closely together which makes flossing difficult and tedious but a necessary practice to avoid constant cavities. As a kid, I learned the hard way and kept on having cavities until I became an adult purchased an Essence Power Toothbrush by Sonicare. Within just a few months I was cavity free and I have been ever since I began using my Sonicare and I will never go back.
I still need to floss to keep my gums strong, but my overall dental health has gone through the roof and it has saved me thousands of dollars in dentist’s bills. I use it for the full two minutes when the brush automatically turns off, I clean it every week by removing the brush from the base and washing it out to avoid bacteria and other germs from forming and I keep it charged always.
So in short, let me summarize;
What is it?
It is a cavity fighting super hero that makes brushing your teeth a little easier.
Why You Need One:
Avoid cavities, root canals, and more by simply upgrading your tooth brush and flossing several times a week.
It comes with a brush head stand for your extra mechanical brush heads, a travel case, a brush head with a protector cap, and a docking station to charge your new found bathroom essential. Be sure to charge it for a full 24 hours before using to ensure proper battery sync and charge. Do not submerge in water as it could fry the small motherboard inside and make it a bacteria ridden paperweight.
There is a cheaper version by approximately $10 and the main difference is that it does not have a rechargeable battery, which in my opinion, is green and worth the $10. The item itself is rather durable and can last slight submerssions in water and several hard drops on tile surfaces.
In The End:
From one former cavity plagued individual to another, upgrade today with the entry level model and if you have the extra cash, you can upgrade to a self-cleaning model with a battery indicator. The replacement heads last about 3 months and I would not push it past 6 months – the cost is about the same as a regular tooth brush for a replacement brush head. I have had mine for years and I rarely have to replace them unless I or one of my kids drops theirs too many times.
I give it three out of five stars only because the next model up has self cleaning and several other features which are amazing if you have the extra cash to splurge for one.
