| rachone's Full Review: Sonicare Personal Model Ps 1 Sonic Electric Toothb... |
The Sonicare is a great electric toothbrush. I love it.
I was wary at first when my dentist recommend that I get an electric toothbrush for a better cleaning. I thought, "why would anyone pay close to $100 for a toothbrush?" I started to look into the electric toothbrush market.
There is the Braun toothbrush and the Sonicare. There are others, but none as good as these two (in my TV commercial-influenced mind). Of course the Braun toothbrush is much cheaper! Both mention on the packaging in some shape or form to guarantee results. As a woman, I have become a bit skeptical about packaging and perhaps it is because of all the health and beauty products we buy. The difference between two shampoos is basically the packaging and the price until we actually test it out. So is the same with these two devices. Didn't know anyone who had either of these two so I flipped a coin.
I chose the Sonicare and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. It feels like you had just visited the dentist for a cleaning. The head vibrates to polish your teeth and massage your gums! It does feel weird at first, the toothbrush is quite powerful and is bothersome to your teeth but I got used to it before I finished brushing my teeth on the first try! I have recommended it to everyone and even bought one for my dad.
The toothbrush lasts on two weeks of charge. Otherwise you'll have to place it in the charger carriage which is simple to do and very hi-tech looking and not very bulky to pack while traveling.
My husband bought a brush head and now we share the Sonicare. You are supposed to clean the unit every week or so, and I do more so because we are taking off the brush heads everyday. But it is hard to clean within the brush head and you may want to replace it more frequently than the recommended six-months.
I got mine on eBay brand new and it only cost me $50 including shipping. I bought my dad's Sonicare at Target for $70. Go get yourself one. You will feel more confident with a very clean mouth and a polished smile!
