I always, always, *always* get cavities, no matter how much I brush, floss, rinse...

HOWEVER, I do recall one gloooorious visit to the dentist when I had no new cavities (alas, a few remaining from the last visit that hadn't been filled yet...)! I firmly believe it was because I was, at the time, addicted to my Sonicare toothbrush :)

I used the Sonicare for two years when I had braces - it was much gentler than a normal toothbrush, and the small brush head was much easier to manuever with all the metal stuff ...

I stopped using it my second year of college because I was in a dorm with a community bathroom and it was too much of a pain to charge and keep clean (as in sanitary...yuck)

Now I have cavities again; all that's changed about my teeth cleaning routine is the toothbrush. This year, I'm going back to the sonicare in hopes that my teeth will stop warring against me :)

The quadripacer is an excellent feature - it's like "toothbrushing for dummies!" Same with the automatic off thing...When it's timing itself for 2 minutes, it's *hard* to miss a spot, really!

My only complaints are that it's a little rough on sensitive areas (ie, right after you go to the dentist and your gums are sore) and it makes a MESS if you turn it on when it's not in your mouth! (My roommates at school also complained about the eerie noise it makes....doesn't bother me, but apparently it sounds like "a rocket ship")
