$150 used on Ebay-worth the price!

My digital camera is a work tool and lives in a pouch on my hip with my Engineers Field Book, so its got to be small and dependable. the Sony W5 is both.
I transitioned up from the P52 Cybercam (a nice workhorse in itself)and have found the W5 to be able to produce the quality of photos that I need. Importing images is a snap with any card reader or the USB cable into my Dell laptop or any other computer (HP, Toshiba, IBM - NO PROBLEM!).

I have read the negative reviews here and have decided, based on 5 years of Sony camera ownership from the F73 to the W5, that these individuals and either incompetent morons or unable to RTFM! I have handed the W5 to the jobsite equivalent of a brain dead idiot and have always gotten good images and the camera has never failed to work.

As to durability, the folks who slam it must not know how to
keep the lens mechanisn clean of dust/dirt (know what a can of "Dust Off" is?) or let their 3 year olds use the camera when they aren't around.

And all this merde about Memory Stick pricing? I bought a 1 gig stick on Ebay for $9.95! Same as the 512 and 256 sticks I got for the P52 I also got on Ebay...

Obviously the folks here DO NOT have a CLUE about HOW to SHOP! Go to the store to compare and test and then BUY on Ebay and put the savings in the bank!
